My children and I cook together. It is no longer an occasional thing in the past to something more consistent and organized. It has been an essential sarma recept kulinarika lifeline for us all as the coronavirus epidemic ravaged us all a few weeks ago.
My adult children haven’t had much interest in cooking, my younger siblings were particularly intrigued when I made steak au poivre, which was their most-loved food. As soon as it was time to allow the sauce to ignite and they’d enter the kitchen and at a safe distance with an extinguisher for the fire, look at the flames. They would also be clapping at the sound and smell of smoke alarms.
I started inviting them to cook with me from time to at times. They could do things like peeling vegetables, grilling steaks, flipping pancakes and so on.
As a creature of social media, I would also often post photos and videos of my creations — including the obligatory slo-mo flambe — which eventually gave me the idea to combine the activities and give birth to “Daddy and Holly and Liam’s Cooking Show,” a friends-and-family-only Facebook endeavor that we’d put out once every month or two. This format gave structure to the seemingly random lessons, and added more interest for the kids to cook.
Since the coronavirus outbreak, cooking with friends is more important than ever. Adults can clearly see how people look for activities to engage in during lockdown. Children may find disruptions to their routines stressful. Although Zoom classroom can be an option, it’s not enough.
We also have to deal with the concern that a pandemic could strike the adult brain, as well as the two responsibilities of helping our children cope with this new reality, as well as preventing the kids from losing their temper.
Cooking with friends has been an escape from the coronavirus. It’s not necessary to cook on our own, such as watching Netflix or Disney Plus. We discuss the food, I come up with endless father jokes, and I can rouse people by pretending I’m cutting myself. It’s safe, fun, and enjoyable.
Cooking can be a wonderful method to introduce coronavirus-related learning. Handwashing is an essential part of daily kitchen activities. We now make a loud buzzer sound whenever somebody touches our face. Then, we immediately go to the bathroom for 20 seconds of antiviral scrubs.
It doesn’t mean that every food item has to be a masterpiece of culinary art. Tonight, I’ll be making tacos with mixed ingredients (gasp! There are still some tricks and tricks that I can employ to make tacos from a mix this evening.
I would like to say that cooking for children helps me reduce my work. They may take a bit longer to finish the task than I do and the final product is less polished. There’s also more cleanups.
A little extra time with friends can be beneficial in a culture which is trying to stay clear of an international crisis by practicing social distancing.
